DS Development

We are excited to announced the evolution of our youth programs! The Cycling Co. Dirt Squad Development Team is open to male and female riders aged 14-18 years of age (categories U15-U19). This development mountain bike program will involve a group training atmosphere, skills development, and ongoing coaching for competitive riders looking to take there riding to the highest level. Riders will be encouraged to try both cross country and enduro racing to help broaden the riders abilities and reach their full potential.

The Details

The Dirt Squad Development Team is a registered team with Cycling BC, coached by Adam Walker, BC Provincial Team Coach and former National Team Athlete.

What it means to be a registered affiliation with Cycling BC:

  • First, it means that it is completely separate from the actual company, The Cycling Co. 

  • As a Licensed and Insured Team, we are able to ride in more places, so we venture to other locations on occasion. 

  • Because we are insured under Cycling BC’s insurance, we can teach more advanced skills. This is only possible because riders in the program carry a Cycling BC Race or Ride License.

Your child’s safety and fun are our two most important objectives! Besides that, we strive to ensure that your young rider improves their skills and has the opportunity to excel through world class cycling opportunities.  

Therefore, all of our coaches and instructors are National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) trained or Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA) certified. We want to make sure that we have the best coaches and instructors available.
